  TESTIMONIALS
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

  1. Babysitter Requirements.
    • Experience. When you choose between several babysitters you should view experience of each candidate. The best candidate will be a person having childcare experience that is roughly the same as your child’s age. For example, your kid is 5 years old then the best babysitter candidate should have at least 5 years of childcare experience.
    • Qualification. Your babysitter candidate should have necessary training and qualification in providing childcare service. First of all, she should have basic first-aid knowledge and know CPR techniques. You can ask your child’s nanny to show you her certificates and babysitter rates (if any) that prove she has received necessary training and qualification.
    • Age. It is recommended to hire an old enough babysitter (at least 18 years old) who has wide experience in babysitting and is able to provide comprehensive childcare service.
    • Communication. Before hiring a babysitter you need to make sure she enjoys and understands your kids. As your babysitter will spend many hours with your kinds and provide childcare service on an hourly basis, she should be able to establish effective communication between her and your children.
  2. Babysitter Responsibilities.
    • Adequately respond to emergency situations. The first key responsibility of your babysitter refers to her ability to correctly use emergency contact numbers. The babysitter should also demonstrate an understanding of general first aid practices. During an interview you can talk to her and ask necessary questions regarding the ability. Also let her know where the first aid kit is kept in your house. The babysitter should know specific emergency procedures (like "moving to a safe place in your house in case of fire emergency").
    • Strictly follow childcare directions given by the parents. As an employer and parent you should specify any places within your house that your children are not allowed to be. Also there is a need to point out activities that the kinds are allowed to be engaged in. Make a list of all allowed and denied activities and places and then share it with your child’s sitter. She should demonstrate her readiness to follow your guidelines and treat the kids according to your wishes.
    • Feed the kids. If your children need to eat while you are away, the babysitter should know how to feed your kinds, what food is allowed in what quantity and when.
    • Give medications. In case your kids need to regularly take some medications while you’re away, the babysitter should know where she can get the necessary medicine, what prescribed dosage to give, and when to give it.
    • Engage the kinds in specific activities. If your children need some help while you’re away, you can ask your babysitter to help the children. For example, they may need help in homework, or they may want to play a specific game. The babysitter should know about the kids’ needs and be ready to provide assistance.
    • Take care of pets. If you have a dog or cat in your house, you can ask your sitter to take care of your pets. Give her instructions on how and when to feed the pets.
    • Prohibits. Your babysitter should know what is allowed to do and what is prohibited. You can make a babysitter list of prohibits and ask her to sign it. For example, you can add the following prohibits to your babysitter rules list:
      • Never use the phone for personal purposes.
      • Never invite friends, relatives and other people to your home while you are away.
      • Never watch TV or use computer when your children require care.
  3. Babysitter Instructions.
    • Provide babysitter guidelines on when and how many times your nanny should contact you.
    • Make a list of emergency numbers and share it with your babysitter. Also show location of the babysitter kit of emergency items.
    • Leave names and contact numbers of specific neighbors that may be helpful in emergency situations.
    • Show location of necessary medications that your kids should take during the day.
    • Show location of food for your children and provide a ...
