Planning Product Launch:

  • Assemble the product launch team (committee):
    • Assign Sponsor (project owner) and Team Leader (committee coordinator);
    • Assign representatives from all key departments and disciplines;
    • Agree your early in-market plan with them to obtain commitment and consensus;
    • Delegate responsibilities to committee members and make sure they accept;

  • Marketing and Sales department(s):
    • Product pricing has been designed and approved by upper management;
    • Product packaging has been designed, approved and put into production;
    • Advertising content has been developed and tested with pilot customer groups;
    • Contracts with media partners and vendors have been signed;
    • Promotional materials have been developed, printed, and are ready to be distributed;
    • Sales and distribution network has been established (agents are contracted and instructed);
    • Press release has been prepared and scheduled;
    • Sales personnel have been appropriately trained;
    • Sales forecast was composed reasoning from the latest market situation;

    • Necessary support procedures and resources are ready;
