  TESTIMONIALS
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

Plan Ahead!

  • Cost. Think of what budget you are ready to spend on your future ski vacation. Use software to plan for vacation budget and evaluate possible costs.
  • Destinations. Use Internet to find ski resort websites that contain handy information about vacation destinations and deals.
  • Transport. Think of how you will get to the airport and then to the resort.
  • Restaurants. Contact your travel agent and ask for suggestions or help with reservations for restaurants.
  • Equipment. Order your rental equipment in advance before your leaving by contacting the rental office at the resort and making a reservation.
  • Reservation. Confirm airline ticket reservation and accommodation booking 24-48 hours before leaving.
  • Employment. Talk to your director or human resource manager about your upcoming vacation in advance. Make sure all necessary vacation documents are signed and vacation pay matters are settled.

 Travelling With Group.

  • Deadlines. If you are going to travel with a group, set deadlines for potential group members.
  • Abilities. Try to select people who have similar abilities for skiing.
  • Diet. Probably some members of your group follow some diet – find out this information in advance and make sure the resort you are going to visit meets your group’s dietary requirements.
  • Equipment. Decide with your group who will rent skis and who will rent snowboards. Order rental equipment in advance.
  • Ski tuition. Consider having lessons or ski guiding for each member of the group, incl. yourself. Then all the group’s members will be ready to ski down a mountain slope or even participate in a ski race.
  • Booking. Book airline/ferry tickets and reserve accommodation for the all group’s members in advance.
  • Transport. Organize transporting of your group from the airport to the resort in advance.

Insurance.

  • Insurance policy. Purchase a travel insurance policy for your package.
  • Reimbursement. Make sure your insurance policy reimburses you for unused equipment rentals and lift tickets.
  • Medical expenses covered. Make sure the policy covers the cost of medical expenses at the resort (in case you become ill or injured while on vacation).

Packing List.

  • Passport and visa.
  • Travel documents, including airline tickets, car rental vouchers, airport parking vouchers, hotel booking confirmation, contact info of your travel agent, map and guidebook).
  • Insurance documents (your travel insurance policy and medical insurance identification cards).
  • Currency, credit cards and traveler’s checks (don’t forget to inform your bank if you are going to travel abroad).
  • Wallet to keep cash at hand.
  • Sun cream and sun block (because the sunbeams in the mountains bounce off the snow and the frost dries up the skin).
  • Hand and body lotion.
  • Travel hygiene: shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, mouthwash, deodorant, feminine needs.
  • Throat lozenges.
  • House slippers and snow walking boots.
  • Headwear, gloves, and ski goggles.
  • Ski jacket, ski pants, ski overall, and several pairs of ski socks.
  • A small back pack for climbing up the mountain.
  • Small first aid kit.
  • Skis, ski helmet, snowboard and boots. If you travel for the first time, it is recommended to hire ski equipment.
  • Batteries for cameras and digital camera storage cards.

Packing Tips.

  • Keep everything organized when you pack. You can make a kit list and write there everything you have packed in your travelling bags.
  • Keep your valuables such as medicine, money, jewelry always with you.
  • Attach ID labels to your bags so it’ll be easy for you to identify your luggage at the airport.
  • Make sure you have met baggage allowance.
  • Try to pack essentials and belongings "layer by layer" so it’ll easy to find a thing in your bags.
  • Pack your bags 24 hours before leaving.
